Bhubaneswar/New Delhi: Dev Pragad, CEO of Newsweek, has been announced as a Guest of Honour at the 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) Convention. Scheduled from January 9 to 11, 2025, in Bhubaneswar, the prestigious event celebrates the immense contributions of the Indian diaspora to India’s progress and global influence, according to a press release by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).

The invitation to Pragad was extended by External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar, recognizing his exceptional achievements as a global media leader and a distinguished member of the diaspora.


The Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Convention, organized by the Government of India in collaboration with the MEA, serves as a critical link between India and its international diaspora. The event will feature prominent leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Droupadi Murmu, offering a platform for dialogue, collaboration, and celebration of the diaspora’s contributions.
